Dystopia est le premier album du groupe de métal progressif symphonique Oïkoumen. Il s’agit d’un concept album pensé en deux parties. D’abord une atmosphère pessimiste, sombre et angoissée qui traite de l’exploitation insensée des humains, des animaux et de la nature pour passer à une ambiance plus positive pleine d’espoir, active et optimiste.
Les titres parcourent des émotions comme l’anxiété et la colère avec un chant clair aux textes crus parfois saccadé et piqué sur des riffs tendus. Mais il y a aussi un esprit fédérateur plus emprunt du heavy metal sur la seconde partie de l’album.
